The new 25,000 s.f. facility was truly a community effort. S.I.M. worked closely with the owner and contractor in developing a design that could incorporate the donated materials, equipment, and labor as they became available. The resulting design featured a full gymnasium, a 120-person dining facility, a large game room, library, computer lab, crafts center, a medical health clinic, a special room for teenagers only, a weight room, aerobics room, and full administrative offices. This community based project has been a big success. It is open daily, providing services to over one thousand members.
